FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What areas do you cover for pet and house sitting?

We sit primarily across the UK, but we are very open to travelling to Europe and further afield for long-term sits – feel free to get in touch no matter where you are!

Do you charge a fee or sit in exchange for accommodation?

At the moment, we are usually happy to sit in exchange for clean home-from-home accommodation in desirable locations with lovely furry friends, as part of our digital nomad lifestyle. For multiple pets, complex sits or unusual circumstances, we may agree a small fee or contribution by mutual agreement. We will always discuss this clearly before confirming a sit.

Can you accommodate pets with special needs or medications?

Absolutely. We offer compassionate care tailored to your pet’s unique health requirements and schedules – we’ve looked after diabetic cats, brain-damaged chihuahuas and terrified pups (and they’ve all become friends!).

How often will I receive updates about my pets and home?

We’ll send daily updates for sits of a week or less. For sits of more than a week, we’ll send daily updates for the first week, until you can rest assured your pet(s) have settled in with us and are feeling comfortable. After that, we’ll normally send updates every 2 to 4 days – or more if your pet is particularly photogenic!

How much time do you spend at home with the pets?

We work remotely, so we’re at home most of the day and all night. We may go out for walks, errands or to explore the local area, but we never leave pets for long, repeated stretches, and never for longer than you tell us they can be left alone for.

What happens in an emergency?

Before you travel, we’ll take your pet’s vet details and an emergency contact person. In the unlikely event of an emergency, we would contact you and/or your chosen contact as soon as possible, and if it’s something urgent or time critical, we would of course take your pet straight to the vet.
